The game tasks you with completing Menu Books, with race events unlocking the cars you need. Finished in 3rd place or better at these events and you’ll get a gift car for the Menu Book, and in general you will have a car that will qualify and can be upgraded through the Tuning Shop to be competitive for a podium. These can be bought, and you might have already happened upon some of them, but you’re far better off heading to the World Circuits and taking on the highlighted race events.
